Both also turn evil in the series at one point(Hero Kanon becomes the Demon King Avos Dilhevia, to wage war against humanity and die, saving Anos from needing to let himself die instead while Artoria turned into Alter servant after corrupted by Angra Mainyu that exists inside grail). both want to atone for mistakes from thousands of years ago(Artoria wanted to change the fate of Camelot while Kanon wanted to show Anos human kindness and save him from dying a second time to build a fragile peace). they both fought an enemy who spams attacks from dimensional portals or gates(Melheis Boran and Gilgamesh). both have an incredibly potent healing ability that is important to their story(Artoria has Avalon which send her to another dimensional and capable to heal her in fast rate while Kanon has 7 special sources which makes him near-impossible to kill). both return to the human world a long time after dying to win a war(The Grail War and the final war against humanity). both fought a war against an arrogant and powerful king who’s also a hero that they have a rivalry with(Artoria is always fighting Gilgamesh while Kanon was the last hope for humanity in defeating Anos Voldigoad).
Both have the ability to change fate as a major part of their character(Saber has high luck and Evensmana allows Kanon to nullify fate and destiny). both have the same color scheme (White armor and Blonde hair).
